From her offices in central London, CBT practitioner and psychologist Anna Hamer supports and guides clients as they work through personal and professional challenges. Anna is BACP accredited and has extensive training and experience working with: depression, anxiety, ‘square mile syndrome’, ‘burn-out’ and performance optimisation.
Anna Hamer is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and EMDR, however her primary approach is Adlerian. Anna works in partnership with the client in order to illuminate and then overcome blocks that are standing in the way of the client achieving his or her goals. As an Adlerian, she utilises Socratic Dialogue to help her clients understand, and then challenge and modify their mistaken assumptions, attitudes, and feelings about themselves and the world. Constant encouragement supports clients as they attempt challenges and overcome obstacles that they may have previously thought impossible or insurmountable.
