About Anna

Anna Hamer is an Adlerian psychologist with 20 years of counselling experience. She is accredited by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Anna is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and EMDR. She works in partnership with the client in order to illuminate and then overcome blocks that are standing in the way of the client achieving his or her goals. As an Adlerian, she helps her clients understand, challenge and modify their mistaken assumptions, attitudes and feelings about themselves and the outside world. Constant encouragement supports clients as they overcome obstacles that they may have previously thought impossible or insurmountable. Every case is unique, however, most of her clients begin to see tangible, positive results within 6-8 weeks of counselling.
